If you haven’t experienced Miracle Bar before, get ready to immerse yourself in a wonderland of holiday-themed cocktails, decked out with nostalgic decor that promises to turn even the grumpiest Grinch into a merry reveler
.Originating in New York City in 2014, Miracle has since blossomed into a global phenomenon with over 100 locations worldwide. Now, three bars in Connecticut—Riley’s by the Seawall in Stratford, Perfusion in Newtown, and The Hop Knot in Portland—are poised to host this enchanting celebration of the season.
Riley’s by the Seawall has a heartwarming backstory that adds to the magic of Miracle. Yoon Hee Lee, amidst her battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, found solace in adorning Riley’s with festive decorations. With the support of regulars Dave Rupar and Kim Pierwola, Yoon led the decoration efforts, even returning shortly after her cancerous cells were removed to finalize the embellishments. Her dedication has continued annually, breathing life into Miracle at Riley’s.
At Perfusion in Newtown and The Hop Knot in Portland, the holiday cheer is equally infectious. Both venues are primed to serve up the same spirited atmosphere and delightful drinks that define the Miracle experience.
For those eager to join in the festivities, reservations are available until December 31st at Perfusion and December 30th at The Hop Knot. Riley’s by the Seawall requires reservations.
Miracle isn’t just about cocktails; it’s about spreading joy and giving back. In 2022, Miracle proudly partnered with the Seva Foundation, an organization dedicated to restoring sight and supporting eye care worldwide. Ten percent of proceeds from select holiday-themed mugs—Santa Pants, Christmas Carol Barrel, and Santa’s Head—will be donated to Seva, aiding their impactful work.
This heartwarming initiative aligns perfectly with Miracle’s ethos of infusing the holiday season with joy, generosity, and goodwill.
As Greg Boehm, the mastermind behind Miracle, once said, “If the holidays are feeling less like The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and more like open season on Big Capital, here’s a way to reclaim some Christmas cheer: drinking it.”
So, grab your ugliest Christmas sweater and make your way to one of these delightful Miracle locations in Connecticut.
